Architecture for People

Since 1992, UK Architects has been designing architecture for people. Our designs create lasting value by enhancing the way people live and interact, by promoting workplace efficiencies and productiveness, and by contributing to a community’s character and service to its members. Our designs show respect for the environment and strive to protect the environment for future generations. The value we create is derived from our knowledge and passion for what we do.

UK Architects provides architectural and planning services for residential, commercial, and institutional clients. The firm was founded in 1992 by its two principals, M. Hunter Ulf, AIA, and Christopher P. Kennedy, AIA, and is located in Hanover, New Hampshire with a satellite office in Claremont, NH. The practice combines the team’s creativity, collective knowledge, and experience to offer the best project solutions possible to UK Architects’ clients.

DESIGN QUALITY

Design quality, cost effectiveness, and environmental sensitivity are integral to all UK Architects' projects. Together, the architectural team provides clear and innovative solutions for conventional projects, as well as more complicated assignments such as:

  • Energy and environmental conservation
  • Complex design problems
  • Difficult building sites
  • Extraordinary budget and time constraints
  • Complicated integration of new construction with existing buildings and conditions

UK Architects' design process seeks a well-balanced response to the pertinent realities of each situation and project. Through close communication with the client, we strive to develop a complete understanding of the client's needs and goals, and we tailor services appropriately. Providing flexible services allows UK Architects to be a cost-effective component to any design and construction process.

SERVICES

UK Architects offers a range of services beyond the general practice of architecture including:

  • Master planning
  • Programming and analysis of clients' needs
  • Interior design
  • Landscape architecture
  • Historic preservation and restoration services

These activities are not simple adjuncts to customary residential, commercial, and institutional architectural projects; they are often the critical path to addressing our clients' design issues, and they become the generators of a project's exceptional qualities.

UK Architects' concern for determining the right solution and the best design is neither superficial nor limited to aesthetics.
